Elizabeth Taylor’s designer clothes to be auctioned by Christies New York

It’s sad to see such a glorious lady like Elizabeth Taylor in a grave. However, like her close friend MJ, her memorabilia that features a lot of custom fashion items will go under the hammer at Christie’s New York. The auction will put 68 items on sale, including a Versace beaded evening jacket featuring portraits of the actress that is estimated at $20,000, and a Irene Sharaff designed sunflower yellow dress estimated between $40,000 and $60,000.

When Taylor, 79 passed away, her estate was valued at $1 billion. A part of the proceeds earned at the exhibitions, events and publications related to the auction will benefit The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, founded by the actress in 1991.
