Emirates ties up with Montblanc to auction a one-of-one timepiece

Emirates Airlines knows how to be charitable that too in style. In yet another partnership with leading luxury brand Montblanc, the flight carrier is out with another unique way to support not one but two charitable causes. The airline has put up an opportunity for all its customers to bid for a limited edition “one-of-one timepiece” that is a part of the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec TimeWriter Collection, starting July 1, 2011. Created exclusively for the airlines the stunning chronograph sports a two-tone dial design set in 18-carat red gold.

Biddings start at $45,000, with all the proceeds of the winning bid going to The Emirates Foundation and The Smile Train, a world-renowned charity to fix cleft. The lucky winner will also stand a chance to a couple First Class Emirates pass to Geneva, to be put up at Montblanc Chateau, LeLocle, Swiss Jura, the home to Montblanc Montre. The timepiece will be handed over to the winner in Dubai.
