First pair of Nike Air Mags fetches $37,500


If you thought women were too vain about their shoes, you need to meet British rap act Tinie Tempah. In a bid to get his hands on the first pair of Nike’s limited edition, McFly-inspired Air Mag sneakers on eBay, TMZ reports that he had to fork out a whopping $37,500! Known to be a Back to the Future lover, the shoes were gifted to the wealthy rapper in a “plutonium” carrying case. He needs not to feel too bad for his efforts, as it’s all for a good cause. Proceeds of sales will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, with an additional 150 pairs a day for 9 more days up for grabs.

Act fast, the last known cheapest size 7 pair is priced at a neat $4,000, while the popular size 12 shoes are currently being bid at $8,100.
