Marilyn Monroe’s famed Subway grate dress to earn $2million under the hammer

Right from a Kennedy to the common man, Marilyn Monroe made many a heart skip a beat with the sensuous Subway grate scene in a white dress in the movie titled “The Seven Year Itch”. And bringing back the magic under the hammer is 79-year old Debbie Reynolds who is putting 3,500 artifacts of movie memorabilia up for bids. The pleated halterneck dress designed by Travilla may not be sparkling white any more, but it does have a boning that was hand sewn to serve as an in-built bra. The costume is expected to fetch over $2 million.
