The Beatles conference tape to be auctioned

The demigods of rock and roll once attended a press conference in which, band member John Lennon speaks about his claim that the band was more popular than Jesus. Well, the only recording of this press conference has popped up, expecting to sell at $20,000.

Bonhams & Butterfields, the auction house will have this tape under the hammer. The 14 minute tape of the conference at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto in 1966 also has John Lennon and Paul McCartney talking about how long they would last.
