Concept images of U.K.’s Women’s International Centre for Economic Development revealed


Young enterprising women everywhere, especially in the UK, can finally see their corporate dreams materializing as award-winning architect Nightingale Associates revealed the first concept images of UK’s Women’s International Centre for Economic Development (WICED). The first of its kind project in the UK, this £5million ($8.1 million) business structure will be located in the heart of Liverpool. When ready, the 2,000sq m center is expected to help 3,000 women set up businesses, creating 4,500 new jobs over the next ten years. Besides a range of offices, the building will contain training & conference facilities and incubator space for new businesses. This ambitious project, which will help women everywhere, is being jointly funded by WICED, the North West Development Agency, Future Builders, Train 2000, Liverpool Vision, and Liverpool Council.

The construction of this centre is expected to begin in October with a completion date scheduled for late 2010.
