If the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, then a way to the woman’s heart is surely through jewels. Looks like President Bush has heeded to this age-old saying and gifted his wife, Laura with a triple strand, amber-colored citrine necklace — for her 60th birthday on Saturday, November 4th. The first couple celebrated with their friends at Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas, with a dinner of enchiladas, tamales, guacamole, rice and beans and birthday cake, White House spokesman Tony Snow said. Close at heels is their 29th wedding anniversary on Sunday, however there is no news whether the first lady would get another gift for the anniversary. President Bush is in the midst of a 10-state campaign swing for Republicans heading into Tuesday’s congressional elections.
