The legendary British rock band Rolling Stones have released over 55 albums and sold over 200 million records worldwide during their 50-years career history. The band has released a limited edition coffee table book, titled ‘Rolling Stones’ to chart the band’s remarkable history in over 500 pages.
The book will feature hundreds of photographs and illustrations (plus the never-seen-before ones) gathered from archives all over the world, including incredible images from some of the world’s greatest photographers like David Bailey, Peter Beard, Cecil Beaton, Bob Bonis, Anton Corbijn, Annie Leibovitz, Gered Mankowitz, Helmut Newton, Bent Rej, and Norman Parkinson. The book will also include three essays from award-winning writers David Dalton, Waldemar Januszczak and Luc Sante.
In a statement issued by the publisher Taschen, band member Mick Jagger said the book captures “many magical moments”, while Keith Richards called the book a “roller-coaster” through the band’s history.
Only 1,150 copies of the collector’s edition will be made available. Each of the copies signed by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts will be sold for $5,000. While the unsigned copies, which are slightly smaller in dimension, are due to sell for $150.
The ‘Rolling Stones’ limited edition coffee table book will be available for purchase in December.
