Victoria Beckham, who recently signed up as the guest editor for Glamour magazine’s September issue, has a new venture up her sleeves. She is launching a new range of optical frames in partnership with Cutler & Gross. This was the only logical next step after having designed sunglasses in the past. The designer who is near-sighted herself, had been putting off optical glasses for a long time as she was unable to find one that suited her face. Her collection includes six pieces, each of which come in three colorways and the overall palette is comprised of black, tortoise, topaz, yellow and forest green.
The ends of the frames are adorned with a refined, diamond faceted “V” and contain elements such as sepia stained coloring, horn, pearl oyster interior lining and tortoise shell. The profile of silhouettes is pretty interesting too- delicate styles such as superlight metal aviators to heavier, acetate rectangular shapes. Each of the frames at priced at $410 each and will make their debut at Silmo Paris on Oct 4.
