It started as a research project for linking the sonic mapping of human bodies to architecture, but the Sonic Bed could be the answer to your sweet dreams. Designer Kaffe Matthews has integrated music in an endless loop into the bed. The Sonic Bed has built-in speakers in the elevated frame and the mattress. The frequencies emitted are meant to be heard and felt, and they can be customized to produce specific sensations that soothe you to sleep. Due to the frequency and intensity, these sounds are perceived not only with the ears but also with the entire body in what is a very exhilarating experience.
This could possibly be the first bed in the world that requires 220V of electricity to power its multi channel sound system.
