A £50,000 flaming red wedding gown is made of human hair

Wedding trousseau is probably the biggest and most anxious purchase that one makes for their dream wedding. And when you become famous for making the dress at channel4 series My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, you like to take those well-deserved risks. Thelma Madine has now decided to create bridal wear made from human hair! Created at the famous Nico bridal store, the dress features 250 meters of hair extensions making the dress.

Set in shocking red-hued hair, the dress has been created in collaboration with Voodou hairstylist Ryan Edwards. Valued at £50,000 ($78,800), the dress features “tens of thousands of individual hair wefts and different pieces of hair, 1500 crystals and 12 underskirts”.
While Madine wants Lady Gaga to don the attire on her UK visit, I think she should create a Gagaesque hat to match the flaming dress! The dress weighs around “15 stone” and is of size 6.
