When two accoladed designers team up, a creative riot and an exciting amalgamation is what results out eventually. And that’s exactly what happened when Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs got together for an exclusive limited-edition collection. Combining the aesthetic appeal of the two, the Anna Sui X Marc Jacobs collection is fun, quirky and a powerhouse of everything that you need this season!
Consisting of T-shirts, shoes and accessories such as bag charms and sneakers, the collection was already launched in Japan last month and is now available worldwide. Each of the pieces in the ensemble boast of a frolic that is typical to both designers, with added accentuations by famed artist Will Broome. The collection is complemented by sketches of Jacobs and Sui as caricatures and that of the former’s much-loved dog, Neville. It is further completed with bold pops of color and unusual letterings for an added appeal.
As stated by Sui, “Marc and I have been good friends for a very long time. I can’t believe it has taken us this long to collaborate. It was so much fun working on a project together.” Jacobs, too echoed back on her thoughts by stating, “It’s a fun project that celebrates our dear friendship.” The exclusive Anna Sui X Marc Jacobs collection is now available through Marc Jacobs’ e-commerce site, as well as select Anna Sui stores worldwide.
