Barneys New York and Common Projects unveil the limited edition Achilles Low silhouette sneakers

When it comes to sneakers, plimsolls certainly are the safest way to go. They look great, fit well and are downright comfortable and versatile. Barneys New York recently teamed up with Common Projects to reinvent the good old plimsoll and pulled out this swanky new pair that joins the ongoing “BNY Sole Series” project. These limited edition Achilles Low silhouette sneakers are available in two colors, one featuring a red and black color combination and the other dressed in white and black. Obviously, both these pairs are handsome and high-quality. The shoes are made from Italian-made leather and come with matching laces, padded tongues and collars.

What makes this pair so fabulous is the fact that they can be paired with just about anything you throw on. They fit right into daily ensembles as well as occasional wear. Adding to the uniqueness of this series, each shoe sports CP’s trademark gold serial numbers on the heel, making sure that no two pairs are alike. The shoes are priced at $475 a pair and are available exclusively at Barneys, in store as well as online. We certainly love the contrasting colors used on these shoes.
