Well-known model Lily Alridge has been signed up as the face of Bulgari for 2017. The Victoria’s Secret model won this esteemed project, thanks to her “golden and exotic” looks that is a lot like the “Italian divas”, its CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.
The brand which has used names like Carla Bruni, Rachel Weisz and Julianne Moore formerly, has chosen a less social eminent face for the new campaign because they want to tell patrons that Bulgari is for everyone, not just a famous face or an actor or politician alone. Alridge has a face chiseled out, and very striking – and wearing an international look. Let’s see what the brand achieves with this change of strategy. I think it will work. Using a model gives more hope of being grounded and real, as opposed to stars flaunting it as their choice, which we consumers have evolved to understand.
