Gucci goes Green with its new Sustainable Soles Fall Collection

Gucci recently announced its new Sustainable Soles Fall collection and it features a couple of very good looking eco-friendly men’s and women’s footwear- The shoes are specially designed by Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director as an ode to the World Environment Day? Perhaps, perhaps not. But what we really would love to bring into focus here is this unique collection that includes Marola Green ballerina flats for her and California Green sneakers for him, are made from bio-plastic, which is a biodegradable material produced from compost. Impressive! Cut out details and Gucci logo motif graces the flats and they are available in shades of blush, taupe, black and combination of black and white. Coming to the men’s sneakers, they are available in high and low version with bio-rubber soles and pebbled vegetable tabbed calfskin. A shining rhodium plated Gucci metal plate acts as the biologically certified lace runner. Ah that’s a lot of nature care!
