Gucci’s Alessandro Michele designs Tokyo’s Dover Street Market Ginza’s Elephant Room

Gucci’s retail collaborations have always intrigued us. Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele has exclusively crafted and customised Dover Street Market Ginza’s Elephant Room in Tokyo. With Gucci’s Dover Street Market in New York and London and Boon the Shop in Seoul, Gucci’s makeovers are the trend of the season.

“This is one of the best elephant spaces we have ever seen. This space always works best when there is a conversation or a connection between the elephant and what is being installed or exhibited,” said Dover Street Market international chief executive officer Adrian Joffe.

Entering the flagship store in Tokyo, we loved the entire makeover of the store. GG blossom patterns plaster walls, floors and the exclusive elephant sculpture. Of course, tailor’s busts and chairs adorn elegant pieces from Gucci’s cruise collection.
