Hermès keen to drape Indians with Saris inspired by their signature scarves

Here is a first! Remember that Hermès scarf you loved – its texture, its designs, its feel? Well, if you are stopping over in India, there might be a good chance of getting an extended version of these scarves, allowing you to own a sari instead. The company has launched a limited-edition line of saris in 27 designs for its customers in India. They are priced between $6,100 and $8,200 and will be sold with a metre of extra cloth, for what is used traditionally to make the blouse. It is the first time that the brand has made such a move, to print over fabric – twill silk or mousseline changeante, measuring 5.5 meters long.
