Jimmy Choo founder, Tamara Mellon to step down from the company

There is sad news for Jimmy Choo fanatics. Tamara Mellon the founder of the Jimmy Choo brand has handed in her resignation. Moving out with her is also Joshua Schulman, the Chief Executive of the brand. Although no reasons have been given for this departure, new owner Labelex has expressed both of them were going to pursue careers independent of each other. Jimmy Choo brand was recently bought by Labelex who does not intend to replace Tamara Mellon’s position. Mellon had founded this small business along with Jimmy Choo in 1996 and catapulted it into a luxurious brand famous around the world. The brand now encompasses handbags, scarves and fragrances and have also teamed up with several other brands such as H & M and Ugg Australia. Mellon will leave at the end of the month and we are definitely not looking forward to it.
