Anybody can make him/herself a critique, but can they do it well? Stylight has gone and proved that the best critiques come in the form of tiny adorable little humans. Yes, we’re talking about kids of course! Stylight, the worldwide go-to-place for everything fashion, invited seven children, all aged between 8-12 to give their honest opinions about the recently concluded Fashion Weeks for the Spring/Summer ’16 collections – and their responses and reactions, we guarantee, are the best. Look out Anna Wintour, Alexandra Jacobs and Lynn Yaeger!
The hilarious excerpts from the interview with the kids, where every kid was shown individual photographs of the most ‘avant garde’ runaway outfits, is a must watch, as no description can take away the essence of the funny, yet truthfully raw responses expressed. Among the designers they reviewed, Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 2 nude three-piece attire (worn by wife Kim K.), V Files – a community collective of unusual designs that put out a ‘medusa in white’ bubble-tentacle dress and a bee hive like garb, Sophia Webster’s mermaid tail and the Swedish School of Textile’s emoji faced ghost model, all took a beating (metaphorically, of course) where credibility in the eyes of the younger generation is concerned. Jeremy Scott’s weird-faced tee was the only one that received a unanimous nod of approval that was also deemed wearable; besides the Gucci sparkly green suit ensemble with the ladybug tie that received modest reviews.
World, go watch the video here. And for the sake of these budding stars, we hope the fashion industry can take a little humor!
