Karl Lagerfeld picks Tilda Swinton to endorse Chanel’s Paris-Edinburgh collection


Oscar Winner Tilda Swinton’s captivating performance in The Chronicles of Narnia is something no one will forget. With her artsy structure and air of elegance, Swinton has always aced the screens. Continuing her up-scale endeavors, Tilda is now set to be featured in Chanel’s advertising campaign that would feature the Paris-Edinburgh collection, a luxury métiers d’art range of pre-fall ready-to-wears. With a prior enriching experience with the actor in the 1992 film Orlando, its famed artist, fashion designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld who called for a reunion. Karl is of the view that Swinton’s Scottish roots is a perfect match to showcase the collection.

The Chanel Paris-Edinburgh campaign is due to hit the stands in June, for which shoot with Tildon Swinton were held earlier this month at the Château d’Ecouen, a castle from the Renaissance period located near Chantilly, France. Rumor has it that Karl has also shot Tilda for “The Little Black Jacket,” a book exhibition due to hit Milan’s Rotonda di Via Besana from April 6 to 20.
