Dior has created enhanced olfactory idea of its five iconic fragrances in a miniature special edition. Inherited from the haute parfumerie tradition, ‘The Extrait de Parfum’ is an extremely purified expression of Miss Dior, Miss Dior Original, Diorissimo, Poison and J’adore.
The emblematic Extraits celebrate the beauty of flowers and the French luxury company’s craftsmanship. The Dior Perfumer-Creator Francois Demachy favored floral absolutes to capture its substance and intensity in a highly concentrated Extraits Dior. Three thousand roses are cultivated with the greatest care and harvested by hand to obtain a single kilogram of delicate essence.
J’adore is the fragrance of flowers that bloom with absolute femininity. For the Extrait de Parfum, François Demachy wanted to give dense and dazzling expression to the primary accord. Seeking an extreme concentration, he composed a generous and intense bouquet of flowers that work in a beautiful harmony. Using ingredients with character like Rose de Mai Absolute, Damascus Rose Absolute, Jasmine Sambac Absolute and Ylang-Ylang Essence. The J’adore bottle is a modern expression of the amphora Christian Dior chose for his first olfactory creations. Made entirely of glass, each bottle is hand-gilded with fine gold, sealed with a baudruche film, tightly wrapped with gold thread, and affixed with the Dior seal.
Miss Dior Original
Miss Dior Original is an elegant fragrance with a dash of impertinence. In the Extrait de Parfum, the initial accord unfurls in an intense trail that brings out its daring, elegant qualities: a green floral chypre that blends Galbanum, Jasmine Sambac Absolute, Rose de Mai Absolute and Essence of Indonesian Patchouli. Cut like a suit, the Miss Dior Original bottle features the timeless Dior codes of style: the houndstooth pattern engraved in the glass, the finishing touch of the famous Couture bow. Each bottle is sealed with a baudruche film, wrapped in gold thread and dressed in a white satin dovetail bow.
The Miss Dior signature is chypre – a legendary accord in perfumery. Pared down by Dior and given a modern edge to become bold and elegant. For the Extrait de Parfum, François Demachy shaped the Miss Dior accord for greater sophistication. He created an incredibly luminous floral chypre that combines Essence of Indonesian Patchouli with floral absolutes: Egyptian Jasmine Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute and Rose de Mai Absolute.
A great classic created by Christian Dior in 1956 with the help of renowned perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. A fragrance that evokes freshly picked lily-of-the-valley in the spring. The Extrait de Parfum reveals a stylised lily-of-the-valley with a modern structure. It retains the signature of the initial accord, heightened by an intense concentration.
Poison is a skin scent like no other. In the Extrait de Parfum, François Demachy revisited the legendary accord by enhancing its sensual character. Highlighting the strength of its spicy notes, he created a floral elixir with a deep, lingering trail of scent.
