Collaborating with fashion designers for cosmetic collections may seem a bit odd but that’s a new trend or at least what L’Oréal has been up to. After joining forces with Balmain last year, the marquee has now teamed up with Isabel Marant for a brand-new make-up collection. While Marant is known for her minimalistic cosmetic preferences, with her run-way models often donning bare-faces, it is surprising to see what the duo has conjured up together.
Marant’s make-up line for L’Oréal consists of five products for the lips, cheeks and eyes, with each one being balanced and strikingly different from the other. The novel ensemble is defined as “daring and practical” and is all set to be unveiled on September 27 during the fashion week this fall. While there is no word on the colors or formulae used in the collection, it is estimated that the products will likely be super affordable and trendy.
As stated by Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President, “This is a collaboration that’s really of the moment: synonymous with Parisian elegance, Isabel Marant is one of the great self-made designers today. Absolutely true to herself and her independence, she’s the perfect partner for the brand, in our drive to make every woman around the world feel worth it.” We couldn’t quite disagree with Angeloglou on this!
