Ultra rare Louis Vuitton Crocodile Capucines cost a whopping $50,000

Louis Vuitton’s Capucines that made a much-publicized comeback (remember the Michelle Williams campaign?) last year have now undergone a croc makeover. Perhaps to stay in sync with the brand’s decision to hike rates and haute quotient! But whatever the reason may be, these brass-tinged babies are a crocodile skin swathed delight for any bag fetishist.

With a semi-rigid handle for hand, elbow or shoulder, these handbags are elegantly versatile in nature. But what catches my fashion fancy most is their distinctive flap, which can be worn in two manners. Hung outside, it reveals the outline of a quatrefoil clover Monogram flower and folded in, the bag displays the congealed ‘LV’ lettering. The lettering and flower, both gleam equally against black animal skin.
Lined in supple goatskin and featuring two large interior compartments, this exceptional creation showcases functionality wrapped in sophistication. That said, these are extremely rare purses and only available in select Louis Vuitton outlets. In two sizes: MM (14.2″ x 9.1″ x 5.5″) and GM (15.7″ x 10.6″ x 6.3″), the Capucines in Crocodile are priced at approximately $50,000.
