Louis Vuitton unveils the ‘Catogram’ collection that is wholly inspired by fabulous felines

If you are a cat person, you know that there’s nothing and no one more precious that your purrying-little wonder. Agreeing to that notion and giving you a dose of some much-deserved cat-inspired fashion are the folks at Louis Vuitton who recently unveiled the Catogram, an ensemble that takes inspiration from the fabulous felines of the world!

Designed by Nicolas Ghesquière and former Vogue creative director and avid cat illustrator Grace Coddington, the collection features leather handbags and purses, cat-covered scarves, blankets, notebooks, key chains, and hats. Each piece features hand drawn sketches of Coddington’s Persian cats, Pumpkin and Blanket, among other cat-inspired designs. Inside the collection, one can also find a chic umbrella, embellished with the LV logo and various kittens. Aside from being inspired by felines, the collection has also been modelled by real cats who have evidently managed to raise its cute quotient to a perfect t00!

The cat-centric fashion collection also includes numerous pieces that are inspired by Ghesquière’s adorable Labrador- Léon such as the dog card holder and dog face clutch. Although sticking to its monogrammed pattern, the brand has also unveiled a new vintage design from 1934 called the Sac Tricot (originally created to hold knitting tools and now recreated with Monogram Vernis and Epi leather, and a hexagonal chain link) into the collection. All said, cat lovers shouldn’t dare miss this one!
