McDonald’s teams up with fashion influencer Anna Sui for limited-edition Lucky Red Envelopes


McDonald’s has recently introduced its lucrative $1, $2 and $3 menu across the country, and to celebrate its launch, the fast food giant has teamed up with none other than high-end fashion designer Anna Sui. Together the two have come up with exclusive Year of the Dog envelopes that feature original designs by Sui along with a bit of added quirk.


The collaboration also celebrates the Lunar New Year, where in red envelopes are traditionally handed out with money. Drawing inspiration from this tradition, Sui has created red covers that encompass value-themed well wishes and her original artwork of popular Asian dog breeds, including a Pug and Shiba Inu. Fans of both Sui and McDonald’s will get a chance to own their exclusive envelopes on Tuesday, Jan. 23rd, at Japantown Peace Plaza in San Francisco, where the fast food marquee will unveil a $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu-inspired arcade game that incorporates Sui’s designs.

Those outside San Francisco can get theirs through fun social media sweepstakes that will be run by McD enthusiasts, Leenda D and Miss Gina Darling. McDonald’s coveted $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu is a steal for the breakfast, burger and chicken options that it is offering at dirt cheap rates. But for now, Sui’s red envelopes is all we can think about!
