Netflix to soon release a Chanel Documentary that gives us an exciting peek into Karl Lagerfeld’s life

As if we weren’t already binge-watching on Netflix, the online streaming forum is now set to present you with an exciting Chanel Couture Documentary. The short series will apparently give viewers an insight into Karl Lagerfeld’s life and will also give out exclusive footage on his home, business and more.

Dubbed as ‘7 Days Out’, the film will premiere on Netflix on December 21. It is directed by highly acclaimed movie maker Andrew Rossi, the name behind The First Monday in May, a documentary that gave us all the behind-the-scenes scoop on Met’s famed Costume Institute exhibit and gala. As for the Chanel documentary, Rossi is said to have tip-toed around Lagerfeld for a few days before Chanel’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2018 show took place at the Grand Palais in January. During this time, he captured exclusive footage of a week of preparations for the fashion show, all which will now be presented raw and unedited before viewers.

The film will further unveil many behind-the-scenes secrets of Karl Lagerfeld’s design process with access to the Chanel studio and atelier. As reported by WWD, The Chanel Documentary is only part of the ‘7 Days Out’ ensemble. The docuseries will apparently continue to roll out short films based on the achievements and life of famous personalities from the film, fashion and entertainment world. For now, we wait with batted breaths for December the 21st to arrive!
