“Puffy Clouds Embroidery Dress” by Marc Jacobs costs a staggering $28,000

Now here is a dress that will put your wardrobe to shame! For the Fall 2014 collection, Marc Jacobs has crafted “Puffy Clouds Embroidery Dress”. Costing a whopping $28,000, the see-through embroidered dress comes complete with grey leather pants and a matching bomber jacket.

Made in a Swiss embroidery mill, the ankle-length dress is adorned with organza flower motifs. Each flower motif is hand-stuffed with three meters of yarn. Jacobs’s design studio, which commissioned the fabric, paid €8,000 (or around $11,000) a meter. Three people created the fabric in one week.
