Ralph Lauren to support breast cancer fight with the Soft Ricky bag in a Pink Pony version

American preppy now also does charity chic. Ralph Lauren’s Soft Ricky bag has gone noble with the latest Pink Pony version designed to dedicate 50% of its purchase price to the Pink Pony Fund of the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation. The iconic bag inspired by the timeless Ricky silhouette is crafted in Italy from ultra-soft leather and decked with custom-made hardware. Elegantly presented in the label’s signature protective felt pouch, the handbag hones the bashfulness of its blushing exterior with Ralph Lauren’s worldwide initiative in the fight against cancer.

“Our mission is to reduce disparities in cancer care in medically underserved communities and ensure that treatment is available at an earlier, more curable stage,” say representatives from the fashion label. Internationally, a network of local charities has been benefiting from the sales of Pink Pony products. Their latest attempt acquires the shape of altruism with black leather lining as well as leather straps that lace through the front and secure with silver-toned buckles. While the signature Ricky lock sits at the front, two keys come attached along with a removable leather pouchette. Priced at $2,500, the Pink Pony Soft Ricky releases in the US on October 1, available till the 31st of the month.
