Rei Kawakubo teams up with Hermès to design two limited edition scarf collection

Two icons of the fashion world, from Japan and France, join hands to roll out new limited edition collection for their fans! Media-shy Rei Kawakubo is a renowned fashion designer from Japan and founder of Comme des Garçons. The lady has teamed up with Hermès to deliver the Comme des Carrés which will include two collections. “Noir et Blanc”, the first collection will feature five scarves in black-and-white designs and will be exclusively sold in Comme des Garçons stores in Tokyo, New York and Paris. For those seeking some color can opt for the second, “Couleur” collection. It will consist of six colorful scarves which will be only available at Dover Street Market stores in London and Tokyo. Rei has added abstract images to Hermès carrés to design this unique collection. Hermes believes that the collection will “rewrite the traditional narratives of the carré.”

The Comme des Carrés collections will be available from February.
