Rhea Nasta’s 18-carat white gold shoes studded with 1200 diamonds dazzles at IIJW

Fairy tales are meant to be lavish and grand; they are after all figments of our imagination. But designer Rhea Nasta brought the story of Cinderella alive, and made it even more opulent by changing one minor detail: she replaced the boring glass shoe by a white gold one studded with 1,200 diamonds. Drawing the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) to a close, the designer ended the event with a high with choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and his wife Jesse Randhawa performing the Cinderalla act to unveil what Nasta calls a piece of art. Soon to be auctioned, the bidding for the dazzling foot wear will start at $ 214,660. So now ladies will have a diamond shoe to strut around in, just like their male counterparts.
