Christian Dior takes over Saks Fifth Avenue’s Manhattan flagship with Parisian pizzazz

After taking over Harrods this spring French fashion saunters over to Saks Fifth Avenue’s Manhattan flagship this fall. This New York Fashion Week, iconic luxury label Christian Dior decided to put up a delightful window display of its wide range of products at the upscale store. “Our window statements are an extremely important part of our flagship store’s DNA,” said Kathleen Ruiz, senior vice president of vendor and store marketing and public relations at Saks Fifth Avenue, New York.

From September 7-19, the brand is captivating fashion week goers by Dior-itizing 17 display windows, which map an entire Fifth Avenue block. “We’re showcasing the Dior fall/winter 2013 collection based on the show in Paris from earlier this year,” Ms. Ruiz said. This is not only a big step in seeking dominance by Dior but also puts Saks Fifth Avenue on purchasers’ pedestal. Lets, however, see if it is one to up-window Tiffany’s 1920’s themed talk-of-the-town showcase or Louis Vuitton’s Dinosaur invaded display.
