Penhaligon unveils a lavender fragrance for its 145th anniversary

English perfume house Penhaligon’s has revealed that they will celebrate the brand’s 145th anniversary with the launch of a new perfume. The name, Eau de Cologne No. 33, was inspired by the brand’s London boutique address which is: 33 St James’s Street.

The summery fragrance will revolve around lavender which has been a part of many of the brand’s iconic fragrances (Hammam Bouquet, English Fern and Blenheim Bouquet, to name a few) and has strong ties to the brand.

Alongside the famous flower, citrus, armoise and clary sage will form the top notes with warm heart notes of pepper, ginger and cardamom, along with fresh geranium. Tobacco, cedar and vetiver, tonka, amber and vanilla will comprise the base notes.

The scent is packaged in a vintage inspired bottle with a lavender bow around its neck. In keeping with the brand’s tradition, the eau de cologne will be made in England with a price tag of £67 (around $102) for 50ml and £88 (approximately $134) for 100ml. It will be available for purchase in July.
