Dolce and Gabbana has launched a new capsule collection that will be exclusively sold on Net-a-porter. The collection is a tribute to the coastal city of Portofino in Northern Italy. It will feature 23 items of clothing and accessories including tunics, pencil skirts, mini dresses, bathing suits, charmeuse gowns, sundresses as well as bags and footwear such as sandals and espadrilles.
The print is the most striking element of the collection, of course. It displays the bright, colourful shades of Portofino with blue representing the Tiguillo Gulf and the pink of the hydrangeas. It is like wearing a photographic dress, or one straight out of a canvas depicting life in a bustling coastal city with cobbled streets.
