World’s largest fashion show by Galeries Lafayette

In a bid to democratize fashion, Galeries Lafayette set a record by staging the world’s largest ever fashion show. The exteriors of Paris Opera became the runway for this spectacular presentation that saw more than 400 amateur models strutting down the catwalk in the brand’s creations. This record-breaking show will be followed by simultaneous shows in all of the retailer’s 130 stores.

The models for the hour-long show were selected through an online casting and put together their own looks. Celebrity hairdresser Madeleine Cofano and her team took charge of the hair and make-up whereas Spanish actress Rossy de Palma as the DJ kept the mood eclectic and uplifting. Celebrities such as Mélanie Thierry, Julie Depardieu, Karole Rocher and singer Ayo lined the front row and to the event’s glamour quotient.
