Functional floral urinals by Clark

Clark Sorensen has created some of the most amazing and beautiful urinals one is likely to ever see. These exotic urinals are both startlingly beautiful and a mystifying blend of functional bathroom fixture and whimsical sculpture. New Flower Urinal designs by Clark Sorensen are showing now at his San Francisco exhibit ‘Flush’. These large-scale flowers and shells, deftly crafted of high fire porcelain, are strikingly beautiful and create a fanciful marriage between beauty and functionality. While these pieces are primarily intended as works of art, they are also fully functioning vitreous porcelain fixtures that can be plumbed and used, in fact, the artist encourages it! Each one is a unique shape and each uses water flow in a different way. Visitors will be invited to flush selected urinals and enjoy firsthand magical use of water and shape.“Since most people think of a urinal as being ugly or dirty, it is the perfect object to beautify. These pieces also echo more classic conflicts between masculine and feminine, good and evil, soiled and chaste.” states Clark Sorensen.

After seeing these, the standard functional but unimaginative hunks of white vitreous china just aren’t going to cut it. Among other advantages, urinals would eliminate completely that eternal, tiresome conflict in straight households about “never putting the toilet seat down.” This will be the first time any of these beautiful flower-shaped urinals will be offered for sale. We bring to you just two of his new Urinal Sculptures – the Easter Lily (23″ tall) is priced at $7800 and the Red & Yellow Tulip (18″ tall) is priced at $6500. Other urinal prices range from $3,500 to $10,000.
