Alexander Wang teams up with Beats by Dr. Dre for a limited-edition collection of custom products

If the average Swarovski-studded Dr. Dre Beats headphones never did cut it for you, here’s something that just fashionably might. American fashion designer, Alexander Wang has teamed up with Beats by Dr. Dre to design an entire collection of custom Beats products. “The limited-edition collection for Beats by Dr. Dre includes my favorite headphones and portable speaker,” said Wang.

The designer admitted to having constantly been inspired by music, “I have always looked to music and musicians for inspiration and as collaborators because there is such a purity to their talent. Different types of music can also transform how you interpret or understand a fashion show, or film. It’s creating a story and translating a message.”

His latest creative message ‘translates’ to matte black finishes and Wang’s signature pale gold accents. “For this collaboration with Beats by Dr. Dre, it felt right and a natural choice for me to give the Beats Studio headphones, Beats Pill and Urbeats earbuds a clean, minimal look with a luxe sensibility.” Each luxurious piece comes with its own embossed glossy stingray case with zipper and clip.
