Hasselblad introduces an uber exclusive version of its Lunar collection, limits it to 200 pieces


Hasselblad introduced its ‘Lunar’ camera last year to commemorate the brands contribution to Apollo program missions when man first landed on the Moon. The high-end camera with interchangeable lenses was launched in 5 different models built using some of the finest materials. The Swedish company has launched a brand new limited edition of the Lunar model timed its launch to coincide with Chinese New Year (Jan 31st). The latest model to join the range cosmetically has the same appearance as the rest of the Lunar models but is crafted out of more exquisite materials to make it stand out from the rest.

The 24 megapixel Hasselblad Lunar Limited Edition camera is made using lightweight titanium and comes with a unique red Tuscan leather grip, a black leather shoulder strap accented with red stitching and an exclusive PVD matte gold-treated top plate. The combination of the color red and gold is considered to bring joy and happiness as per the Chinese traditional belief. The company will make only 200 of these limited edition Lunar cameras and each unit will be sequentially numbered. The premium limited edition camera comes with a premium price-tag, it is priced at €7,200 ($9,839 approximately).
