Leica D-Lux 6 Edition 100 celebrates the brands 100th anniversary

Iconic German camera maker Leica is celebrating their 100th anniversary and has created a special product range of special editions to mark the occasion. After introducing the Leica S Edition 100 model earlier this year, the brand has unveiled its second special edition named the ‘Leica D-Lux 6 Edition 100.’ As the name suggests, the special centennial edition is based on the premium Leica D-Lux 6 compact camera which comes with a high-performance lens and a 1.7″ CMOS sensor that is particularly large for this compact camera class. The centennial edition looks strikingly similar to the high-gloss Leica D-Lux 6 version with two-tone color combination which was launched last year. The glossy black body of the camera features a special engraving of the centennial logo on the front of the body.

The centennial edition Leica D-Lux 6 compact camera will come with an elegant camera case in matching genuine black leather with the same centennial logo, carrying strap and wrist strap. As mentioned before, the special edition camera is technically same as the camera it is based on. This is a limited edition model and Leica plans to sell only 5,000 examples of it, but the pricing is yet to be announced. It should be available for sale by the end of this month.
