Leica S1, the brand’s first digital camera shows up


After going the vintage route and then opulence way with S2 DSLR and its lens system, the MP, M7, M8 and M9 along with its several variants the cameras from Leica have been pretty . And back in the year 1996, Leica brought out its first digital scanning device the S1. For $21,500, this camera supports ISO 50 with a 48-bit (151Mb) image files. Backed by the company’s 35mm R-series lenses, the camera can capture 1.4-inch square images. Perfect time of the year to become a shutter bug!
