LG 55″ OLED HDTV to debut at CES 2012

LG has announced that it will unveil the world’s largest, 55” inch OLED HTV at the upcoming CES show. Though we have earlier seen small OLED screens from the Korean giant, this time, LG has promised this bigger version will be ready by mid-2012 to adding the crowning jewel to your luxury lifestyle. It supports a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, and LG boasts that these can reproduce more colors than LCDs. The Korean giant folks also suggest that this new technology allows light-emitting diodes to self-generate light and features a reaction velocity to electric signals over 1000 times faster than liquid crystal. Talking about pricing and availability is pre-mature at the moment, but we’ll keep you updated anyway.
