TAG Heuer Meridiist Phone

Expecting watch makers TAG come out with a phone no longer sounds absurd, considering high-end fashion labels and their ilk have already trotted down that path. TAG Heuer Meriidist is being touted as a “pocket-watch with a phone complication”, but if you ask me, I’m not terribly impressed with its form factor. Getting down to the specs, it features a Bi-directional hour display dedicated to time with Chronograph measuring the 1/100th of a second. It even features a Lap-timer function, Perpetual calendar, Countdown, World clock and Alarm. Meridiist aims at being the pocket watch of the 21st century. The phone sports a unique secondary top screen that displays the time. The simple UI has only 5 entries in the start up menu.

TAG Heuer Meriidist Phone Watch comes with an all-in-one USB plug to charge the phone as well as transfer data to the PC. The design has been inspired from the Microsplit and Monaco products. The phone has been Swiss engineered and hand assembled from 430 components. It’s constructed from corrosion-resistant, watch making 316L steel. The dual displays have been crafted from scratch-resistance 60.5 carats sapphire crystal. It has a 28-day standby time and 7 hours of talktime.
