This June will mark the 150th anniversary of the legendary Afternoon tea service at The Langham, London, after debuting at the hotel’s Palm Court dining room back in 1865.
This rich English heritage will be celebrated by the flagship hotel and its New York extension Langham Place, New York with a very elite, very English tea service. Prepared by Chef David Vandenabeele, the Measure Lounge will serve the traditional afternoon meal every weekend in June, for a princely price of $150 per person.
Before you flip at the price, take a look at the menu! The fit-for-a-king spread will feature savories including Glazed Duck Liver Parfait with Pomegranate Glaze on Brioche, White Asparagus and Black Morel Tartlet with Quail Egg and Summer Truffle, Beluga Caviar and Buckwheat Blini and sweet indulgences like Baklava with Sicilian Pistachio and Gold Leaf, hand-rolled Truffles with Hennessy XO Cognac and some decadent Pink Rose Laurel Perrier Panna Cotta. Classic afternoon tea favorites like a hand-crafted Bento Box with homemade Ginger Nutmeg & Orange Scones with Wild Berry Jam and Clotted Cream, teas from Pursuit of Tea and half bottle Champagne will also be served.
24-hour reservations are a must, so call now to book your seat.
