Champagne flutes get makeover from Royal Leerdam to enrich flavor and life

There are a lot of people in the world that take their wine seriously; but who would have thought it would be glassware makers Royal Leerdam. The Dutch company has introduced anew ‘The Expert’s Collection’ which is the brand’s latest range of stemware, including a special one just for the bubbly. Throw away all your old flutes because you won’t be needing them any more when you can have the coupe’s curvy cousin*. The new, rounder shape of the glass structure, along with the wider mouth, is known to bring out the best nuances in bubbly drinks.

The entire Expert Collection was designed by Royal Leerdams’ Barbara Verbeek. Being the world-renowned sommelier that she is, her main aim was to create stemware that enhanced the flavor of wine in general; so according to the body and density of the drink, there are glasses for different groups of wine. The ‘Bubbly Glass’, we’re calling it for lack of a better term, can be used to serve Champagne, English Sparkling Wine, Prosecco, Cava, Cremant, Sekt and Vonkelwijn; and can be bought at England’s Artis at Surrey.
