Creator of the cronut debuts a decadent Nutella cronut at his New York bakery

All good things in life come in small packages. And Cronuts are its living proof. An exquisite confection by Chef Dominique Ansel, Cronuts are back with yet another version: Cronut holes stuffed with Nutella. In celebration of Nutella’s 50th anniversary, Chef Dominique is partnering up with the beloved hazelnut chocolate spread to offer complimentary Cronut holes filled with Nutella just for a day.

“We’re very careful in selecting our partners, and Nutella is a brand that I really love,” says Chef Dominique. “I grew up licking my fingers after swiping them around the glass jars.”

The ingenious croissant-doughnut hybrid has had its rising moments from mere pastry to pop-dessert phenomenon. The sweet confections stuffed with hazelnut spread and dusted with sugar will be given away by Ansel’s bakery in New York city between 10 AM-2 PM on May 19. The event will also kick off Nutella’s ‘Spread the Happy Truck Tour’ that will make stops in 16 cities across the country.
