Patron has collaborated with crystal maker Lalique for $7500 bottle of Tequila

Lalique has given us some impressive tie-ups and collaborations over the years, and this one is no exception. Patrón en LALIQUE: Serie 2 is the second instalment of the partnership between the two iconic brands. Serie 2 is an art deco inspired decanter filled with an exceptional blend of extra añejo tequilas from Patrón.

The decanters were created at Lalique’s glass factory in Wingen-sur-Moder with a design that is characterized by straight lines and the contrast between clear and frosted finishes. The design is in fact inspired by Mexico’s indigenous Weber Blue Agave plant from which tequila is produced. A rounded crystal stopper echoes the amber color of the decanter’s contents, and features Patrón’s iconic bee emblem in pure gold enamel. The bottle is presented in a rotating display case.

The blend inside meanwhile is a mix of extra añejo tequilas, aged in the barrel room at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, for an average of more than seven years. Tequila was sourced from three different types of barrels: American oak, French oak, and Spanish Sherry for Serie 2. It has a sweet aroma and taste of fruit (apple, banana and pear), vanilla, light agave, raisin, and pecans.
