Tequila enthusiasts fancy a $500,000 tasting flight?

This Valentine’s Day a bar in Texas wooed its love-struck clients with a $30,000 margarita. We gasped. Then more recently Four Seasons Punta Mita offered its Ultimate Tequila Tour, for $20,000. We were in awe. Now, the World’s Best Tasting Tequila (San Francisco World Spirits Competition) Tequila Avion is offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the World’s Most Expensive Tasting Flight. Costing half a million dollars, the ultra-premium tequila brand will offer a private tasting, distillery tour and intimate dinner at the residence of Avion Master Distiller Alejandro Lopez, hosted by founder of the beverage company Ken Austin and Chef Josh Capon of El Toro Blanco in New York City. The Lopez Family is a well-known sixth generation agave grower in Mexico, the home of tequila.

Guests will travel to the distillery, in Jalisco Mexico in a private Gulfstream jet, 10 in total. They will get a private butler, security detail, a photographer to document the experience as well as accommodations for three days and two nights at Las Alamandas. Highlights will be a private tour of the distillery, customized-bottles of never-released tequila from Ken’s library and the opportunity to age a small batch of Aneja (uniquely aged tequila).
