Cognacs are great any time, but particularly around the festive season. Raise a toast as liquor major Maxxium UK has launched four limited edition Courvoisier cognacs to keep us in good cheer. The new luxury expressions are inspired by the rich legacy and heritage of the iconic Courvoisier cognac house. Top of the range is Courvoisier Tribute Borderies, with each of the five limited edition bottles priced at £51,600 (around $80,790).
Courvoisier Tribute Borderies is blended from the eaux-de-vie from a single estate in Borderies and has matured for 60 years in Limousin oak casks. The spirit comes inside a hand-blown dame-jeanne flacon, contents of which can be decanted into 43 bespoke 70cl bottles. Additionally, buyer of this edition will be offered a stay at the Courvoisier chateu in Jarnac, a visit to the Paradis cellar, dinner with master blender Patrice Pinet with a guided tasting of Tribute Borderies.
However, if you have a modest budget Courvoisier cognac house is also offering rather less expensive cognacs, L’Esprit de Josephine Cognac (£9,715/ $15,210), Courvoisier Heritage de Louis Renard Cognac (£7,500/ $11,740) and the least expensive of the range Courvoisier Reserve 1978 Cognac (£1,100/ $1,720).
The new luxury Courvoisier expressions will be available exclusively through UK market.
