Ever wondered what the ‘legit’ best drinking places in your town are? Well, here to help you figure that out and more is a list of the worlds’ 50 best bars that was recently announced at a glittering ceremony in London’s iconic Roundhouse. The Perrier-sponsored event serenaded the best bars across the globe, after compiling votes from The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy which comprises of more than 500 drinks experts.
Topping the list were names from London and the United States, with the top spot being swoon over by the latter’s Dandelyan. The hot-shot bar, owned by cocktail expert Ryan Chetiyawardana was formerly awarded the ‘World’s best cocktail bar’ title at the Spirited Awards last year. It also took second spot at the previous year’s world’s 50 Best, after first entering the list in 2015. Ironically, the bar has now been shut down, with a promise to be reopened with a brand-new concept in the same space next year.
Standing close second on the list is the ‘American Bar’ in London, followed by the lush ‘Manhattan’ in Singapore along with the ‘the Nomad’ and the ‘Connaught Bar’ in New York and London, on No. 4 and 5 respectively. Other names from the United States included, Attaboy (No. 15), The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog (No. 16), Blacktail (No. 41), and the perennial list maker Employees Only at No. 26. Let’s raise a toast for the winners, shall we!
