Three Michelin Star chefs come together to create a gourment food court in Madrid

For the first time, a major department store in Madrid has a gourmet food court opened by three Michelin star chefs. Between them the chefs boast of seven stars and they have opened a gourmet food counter on the seventh floor of the El Corte Ingles department store that includes a Spanish street food theme eatery by David Munoz, an ice cream bar by pastry chef Jordi Roca and a Mexican counter by Roberto Ruiz.

The idea behind this innovation was to make haute food easily available and affordable to the masses. This is a concept that is being experimented across the world where a line of ready to eat meals by Michelin star chefs are available in grocery stores across France, while in Britain celebrity chefs have a line of ready made meals and gourmet products in partnership with Waitrose.
