Alexander has collaborated with an Italian home goods brand Poltrona Frau to create furniture designs that are contemporary and chic. They all bear his signature mark of the black lacquered look with gold detailing. His range includes a brass footed bean bag in shearling or leather, a bar cabinet wrapped in squares of jet black shagreen and other fun pieces. His creations are quirky and different with the base of the chair having nine sides and the bar that swivels on luggage style wheels. The bean bag is quite highly priced at $8,800.
Since being actively involved in doing up his flagship store and his New York City apartment he realized that he had developed a liking for finishing and furniture. His line is going to be displayed this February, so get ready to own Alexander Wang’s furniture creations.
